Those wacky Eppendorf folks...

This, um... thing came in with the new centrifuge. It's designed to hold a couple of rotor keys. All I have to say is that the entirety of the lab that wasn't on cruise or in the field laughed our asses off for a good 20 minutes. Yes, the lid does open so you can stick a sharpie or something into its head. They call it Captain Epi.

Useful, useless, hilarious, ridiculous, silly, or brilliant? I'll let you decide. I still snicker a bit when I see it.

Well, if we order another centrifuge in the next 6 months, tell him he can have one.

(That's not really going to happen.)

What the hell. We never get anything like that.

Next time a sales rep comes to sell us stuff I will demand a creepy tool holder.

It was in the box with the microfuge. I'd never seen anything like it.

It is kinda creepy, though, isn't it? The cap opens, too, and it makes it look a bit like a toilet. A very happy toilet.

I have one sitting on my desk. Nobody else in the lab wanted him.
