I'm late with this - but I am so sorry. I always want my dogs to live forever, and then the reality of their short lives hits me full force. They're amazing creatures - so we're lucky to have them in our lives, if only for a short time.

They're the best friends ever, but their lives are so short. Maybe it's condensed love and friendship, in a fur coat. Enjoy it while it lasts.
